This page is dedicated to our "transplant family" members, that we have lost along the journey.

Stormy Bryant

Stormy is a precious little girl. She was born June 20, 2002...just three days before Othello. She also had severe short bowel syndrome.

Stormy was given her M-V transplant in August of 2003. After a long 14 months of hospital stays and many surgeries, Stormy passed away. One week after her M-V transplant.

We will always remember Stormy. Her mother Tavi and father Joseph are in out thoughts often too.

Here is her mothers webpage: Stormy

Caleb Smith

Caleb Smith was a tiny bundle of joy. He was a year old, and 10 pounds when we met him at JAckson Memorial.

Jessica, his mom, was with him to have him listed for a M-V transplant. They returned home to Kansas a day after we met them.

Caleb was as yellow as I remember Othello being.

Sadly, Caleb passed away back in Kansas before recieving his M-V Transplant. He will be dearly missed.

Christian Johnston

If you ask any of the parents we meet down in Miami who they miss, you will always hear a resounding "Christian and Amy."

Christian was born with gastroshcisis and had his first of three transplants when he was a couple of years old. OVer the next few years, Christian and his mom Amy lived in Miami. He was in the hospital more than he was at his home in the Carolinas.

Everyone knows Christian. They will tell you about how he is their childs best friend, or how he was so good at the video games.

His mother, Amy, would help decorate the PTSU for the kids and made things a bit more cheery for them all.

Christian passed away this year. He had undergone 3 multi-organ transplants in his 8 years of life. We are lucky to have known him...He was one of a kind and has left his mark on all who met him.

Amanda Buddemeyer

Amanda Buddemeyer passed away on October 11, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. She was surrounded by those who love and care for her deeply.

Amanda had undergone two m-v transplants at Jackson Memorial. Unfortunatly, her body could not fight any longer. This wonderful 9 y/o girl was very beautiful and seemed to have smiles, even in the toughest times.

Now she has found peace and comfort. We will all miss her dearly.

Her parents are wonderful people, they stayed by Amanda every step of the way. It is amazing how strong a parent can be, when faced with such trials for their children. Monica and Mike were a true blessing for Amanda, as she was to them.

Over the past year, we have lost many of our transplant family members. Please, keep these families in your thoughts and prayers. It is hard to lose a child, especially when you have fought so hard to help them live.

These children are true miracles and blessings. They are our heros!
