for othello from aunt mandy
You held on when it was tough You laughed and you smiled to show that it would be ok. You fought and fought to keep yourself alive But when your body was giving up, your mind fought to go on. You played and you giggled to show you were happy. You didn't let the pain bring you down. You showed the love that you felt inside and you gave that love right back. Being the little guy that you are is so amazing. You are my superman. You ARE Superman.
Here is a letter Othello received! We feel so great that we are able to convince people that Organ Donation does WORK!!
Othello:
Hello there... I have been deeply touched by the story of your life so far... you see my little girl (Chloe) was born on June 21, 2002, so you guys are practically the same age. Chloe has an older brother also. I bet you keep your brother on your toes just like Chloe does. I will continue to think about you and pray for you. Congratulations on your transplant. You must be one strong little boy! Your mommy and daddy must be very proud of you, as your story has definitely sold me on the idea of orgran transplants.

Tiny Champions (for Othello) by David W. Stroud
As we're growing up, we're taught to be brave, Keep our chin up And be strong. We've got years to build all those muscles and bones, Plenty of time to be young.
But this is for those who don't get to wait, Tiny champions, warriors, princes and saints.
Most get to play with all kinds of toys, Fun games and big Bouncing balls. Yet for some all they know are needles and tubes, Stretching within Hospital walls.
So this is for those who don't get to wait, Tiny champions, warriors, princes and saints.
So next time you're running and breathing fresh air, Take just a moment, And give A prayer for the little ones born to this world Who fight for a chance Just to live.
'Cause this is for those who don't get to wait, Tiny champions, warriors, princes and saints

Before:
Hands cupping soft face innocent eyes question the pain mommy, what is this hurt?
intravenously sustained mello yellow playfully oblivious too young to understand death comes fast
Months pass anxiously await life in sterile surrounds
Prison:
Day after day in a supposed sterile prison white walls fresh linen random wardens awaiting release little prisoner unjustly sentenced to a life of wait and see
After:
Long unfriendly halls Now inviting Five months after formal introduction
enter three leave minus one retreating down empty corridor
fifteen hours living unaware under the knife death rebirth
care intensive swollen more tubes machinary life
recover within sterile confines unleashed new begin ...
